A little about me...

I worked for nearly 40 years in nonprofit human service organizations, serving first in direct services counseling roles and then in administrative capacities. I retired a few years ago, my final paid position serving as executive director of only shelter for families experiencing homelessness in the third largest county in the state of Minnesota. Under my direction, the organization received the Minnesota Nonprofit Excellence Award. I received a Lifetime Achievement Award from WomenVenture for my work assisting women with economic self-sufficiency. I also was awarded the Inver Hills Community College Outstanding Alumni Award in 2011.

I enjoy volunteering for several organizations including Inver Hills Community College. Though I went on for addition education and degrees, I credit Inver Hills Community College with launching my career and I give back regularly, serving on the Board of the Alumni Association. 

I love being a grandma to baby Charlie who lives in New York City with my son Jake and daughter-in-law, Jennifer.

Married to Deke for over 40 years. Deke enjoys gardening, traveling, and also enjoys making walking sticks. He makes bread and amazing bagels and gives them away to friends and family. They are so good.
